Bracken Blurbs

#1- The other day I was talking with a girl in our church and I called her by her English name "Faye". Abbey over heard me and ask, "Her name is Fei, like fly?" (Fei, pronounced "Faye" means to fly in Chinese.) And then we had a good 5 minute discussion about how her name was "Faye", an English name, not "Fei" the Chinese word meaning to fly. Yeah... we are American, but not.

#2- Last night at my English Class, Ethan was incredibly hyper. Honestly, I do not let him have any caffeine and I greatly restrict his sugar! At the end of the night I told him, "Ethan, don't make any more messes. I don't have the energy to clean any more up." His reply? "Don't worry, Mama. I don't have any more energy to make any more messes." I didn't even know that was possible!

#3- I was at Costco recently with a friend and I was telling her how the last time I had been at Costco a lady had ran over the back of my foot with her cart. As I was explaining how bad it hurt and how I tried to shrug it off because the lady was so embarrassed and how people should watch where they are going, I ran over the back of the foot of the lady in front of me. Humiliating!! I'm sure there is a lesson about not complaining and seeing things from the other person's perspective in this story some where.

O nome de uma pessoa quando dito com respeito é como escutar uma boa música.
