The Icing on the Cake... Literally

A few weeks ago I wanted to make a cake and I didn't really want to make my own icing. The powdered sugar I can get here is not as fine as the stuff from the States and well, the icing just doesn't come out as smooth. Sooo, I went over to our bakery supply store hoping that I would find some American canned icing or perhaps a Taiwan equivalent. And I did indeed find some icing. Take a look:

Also notice that this is a 5 kg container! And how much does it cost? Just $1040 dollars! Of course that is in Taiwan dollars, but it comes out to over $30 bucks USD!! I picked up powdered sugar for about $2 USD, went home and made my own. But if I ever need icing for 30 cakes, I know where to get it!

PS... Is anyone else disturbed that it calls this "icing" paste?

The "paste" thing was probably one of the first things that caught my attention ... haha What does the price label say? Soft chocolate? Funny stuff!

Well, if I ever buy this, I will tell you how it compares with Elmer's!

And John, you just need to go to 7 and buy some chocolate!

OH, I must have lost her. I wonder what she was trying to say? hehe

Actually, I have never eaten Elmer's. I am waiting on the sale at Costco! The other day, Kate, it was TOILET PAPER!!!
